Peter J. Corte Peter Corte is a Senior Associate of FBA, Inc. He brings to the firm more than 30 years experience as a manager of large, complex technology initiatives undertaken by Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining FBA, Corte served in Corporate/Business Development with Raytheon Corporation and for ten years was Corporate Vice President/Corporate Development at SAIC. Serving in these, and other, positions, Corte developed extensive experience in government procurement processes, and directed successful proposals in technology and systems integration programs totaling more than $5 billion in contracts. In addition to holding senior positions in several prominent international corporations, Corte has founded and directed several private ventures. In 1993, Corte founded Orbitron Corporation in McLean, Virginia, an organization that provides consulting services in international business development and strategic planning. Under his leadership, Orbitron developed Educational Re-engineering ™ and Cultural Change Initiative ™ methodologies which address management education and organizational change strategies for very large corporations and government agencies. He has also served as Chairman of Total Learning Research Institute (TLRI), a not for profit education and leadership development organization based on NASA principles and educational methodologies. Over the past ten years, TLRI has developed advanced programs dealing with team-based solving of very complex problems, the capture of knowledge and its dissemination through distributed / distant learning technologies and protocols. Currently, Mr. Corte is developing a system of systems approach for “Global Integrated Transportation and Security System”™ (GITSS) business. This strategic initiative has the potential to form the framework of a very large global maritime and intermodal transportation, C4I, asset inspection and tracking, and homeland security/defense system that will require large port modernization efforts. GITSS has been presented to various DHS, DoD, state, port authorities, architectural and engineering firms, international maritime organizations, and congressional staff. The IT architecture to support GITSS is in development. The genesis of GITSS occurred two years prior to 9/11. Mr. Corte holds an MBA in International Finance and Business and has done post-graduate work in International Systems Integration. His earlier background includes computer science applications, international IT systems, high-performance computing systems and laboratories for Government and commercial clients.
