Chad Andrew Ellis

Dr. Chad A. Ellis joined FBA as an Associate in November 2003.  He brings to the Firm more than 15 years experience in Bio-Medical research, with a specific focus in cell biology.  An expert in cellular communication, Chad has in-depth knowledge of bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry and pharmacology, and has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles in these fields.

Dr. Ellis is particularly interested in the use of advanced technology as a tool for expanding research methodologies in molecular medicine.  He is developing applications of high performance computing in genomic research, and has these utilized these technologies as an approach to identify and characterize disease-related genes in studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

Chad received his B. S. in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Florida and a Ph D in Pharmacology from the University of Illinois-Chicago.  He has served as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was recognized as the Outstanding Fellow in 2001 and an Astra Zeneca Scholar in 2003.  As a Fellow in the National Cancer Center, he lectured widely, and offered seminars throughout the United States and Europe.

In addition to his activities with FBA, Chad serves as a Senior Scientist with Rexhan Corporation, a Drug-Discovery and Development firm in Rockville, Maryland.
