Mark Greenberg
Mark Greenberg has more than twenty years of experience in government relations and legislative affairs. His work at Jefferson Government Relations, LLC (Jefferson) focused on municipal, educational, transportation, and defense policy with an emphasis on appropriations and base closing (BRAC).
Prior to joining Jefferson , Mr. Greenberg was the Director for State and Local Affairs for the National Rifle Association, where he was responsible for lobbying and public affairs in all fifty states. Mr. Greenberg also supervised grassroots activities, political campaign involvement, and outreach programs to press, citizens' groups and legislators.
As a Legislative Consultant for Laxalt , Washington , Perito and Dubuc, Mr. Greenberg represented clients' interests to Congress and executive agencies and provided strategic counsel.
Earlier, Mr. Greenberg served as a Special Assistant in the Reagan Bush administration to President Reagan in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. There he lobbied the Senate on behalf of the White House on issues including defense, banking, energy, small business and intelligence.
Previously, Mr. Greenberg served as Administrative Assistant and Legislative Director for former Senator Paul Trible (R-VA), concentrating on national security, foreign policy and economic issues.
Mr. Greenberg also served in Sen. Trible's congressional office as a Legislative Assistant and on his gubernatorial campaign in Virginia as Director of Research.
In New York City , Mr. Greenberg was the Program Director for the Institute for Educational Affairs. There he supervised the administration of educational foundation grant programs totaling $1 million annually.
Mr. Greenberg received a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College and a master's degree from Claremont Graduate School .
